Things To Do At The Venetian Hotel In Las Vegas – Located at the north end of Las Vegas, the Venetian opened its doors in 1999, followed by the Palazzo in 2007. Together, the two resorts offer more than 4,000 guest rooms and are connected by the Grand Canal Shoppes.

In a city that is slowly becoming a ‘theme’, Venice still embraces the sophisticated Italian elements that make it a must-see property.

Below I will talk about some of the Venice / Palazzo highlights that you can add to your Las Vegas itinerary.

Walk to the Grand Canal Shoppes. Easily ranked as one of my favorite things to do in Venice, a stroll through the Grand Canal Shoppes never gets old.

Sure, there are more than 160 shops, restaurants and bars, but the star of the show is the theme. The Shoppes gives visitors the feeling of walking through the streets of Venice, with breathtaking views around every corner.

Whatever you do, don’t forget to take a selfie in front of the LOVE sign. After all, if not, have you ever been here?

Drinks at the Grand Canal Shoppes. In addition to the unbeatable show, there are also several happy hour deals scattered throughout the Shoppes, making it a fun place to jump from bar to bar.

Trustworthy Brewing Company also calls the Grand Canal Shoppes home and is the only brewery on the Strip.

Watch the free event in St. Mark’s Square. The focal point of the Grand Canal Shoppes is St Mark’s Square, a replica of the Italian version. The Las Vegas version of St. Mark’s Square offers guests the opportunity to dine under a simulated blue sky, surrounded by themed elements that make The Venetian a must-see.

While you’re there, be sure to check out Streetmosphere’s 15-minute performance, which is free and features vocalists, dancers and musicians.

While Streetmosphere is not the most impressive free attraction in Vegas, it is worth seeing if you are in the area.

A romantic gondola ride. Offering both indoor and outdoor rides, the Venice gondola is a favorite pastime for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Gondoliers serenade guests as they pass through canals inspired by Venice, Italy.

While I personally would find it awkward to sing, I know there are others who find it romantic. To each his own.

Watch Atomic Saloon. production made by the same people who brought you Absinthe and opium, The Atomic Saloon mixes a variety of catchy shows and offensive humor that people like me admire.

Described by the show’s creators as ‘Blazing Saddles’ meets ‘America’s Got Talent’ meets ‘Westworld’, Atomic Saloon could be a great choice for those who love crude humor and exciting action.

Tickets can be pre-ordered directly through the event or through a third party like Vegas.com, where you can often save a few bucks.

Venetian Hotel And Casino

Yes, the bar, the walls, the chairs, and even the glasses are made of ice. Forgot your winter gear? Don’t worry. Bags, gloves, hats, etc. You will feel comfortable and create a unique memory.

Rock climbing. The 40-foot stone wall is part of the Venetian Canyon Ranch Spa, where everyone has access. Prices range from $29 for a 25-minute session to $49 for 50 minutes. While the spa also offers traditional amenities like salt caves, fitness classes, and other wellness services, I decided to focus on the stone wall… because it seemed more appealing. If you are looking for something to do in Venice / Palazzo with older children, this may be an option as 10-17 year olds can ride if accompanied by an adult.

Madame Tussauds wax museum. Visit and take photos with living and dead celebrities and politicians at Madame Tussauds. Notable faces include Steve Aoki, Alan from The Hangover, and Snoop Dogg, among others.

Sing or watch karaoke. Among the higher-end karaoke bars in Las Vegas, Kaw distinguishes itself by offering 40 private suites, all offering a unique flair. They are amazing. Bottle service and a full food menu are also offered.

Use the swimming pool. If you’re staying at a resort, the pool deck should be at the top of your list of things to do in Venice. The sprawling deck gives guests access to the Venetian and Palazzo pools, meaning you’ll be able to find a sunny spot to recover from the night before and recharge for the night ahead in Las Vegas.

The renovated pool deck is spectacular, with individual pools separated by foliage, making for a more intimate experience than you’d expect from a mega-resort.

Parts of the Venetian and Palazzo pools remain open year-round for those who dare to swim in winter.

I recommend checking out the Wynn Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, which are worth seeing even if you don’t plan to gamble at the resort.

While you’re at the Wynn, make sure you take the time to stroll through the beautiful Shop Plaza, which has many high-end tenants.

The free volcano show at the Mirage is a must-see because it will soon be removed as the resort transitions to its new identity, Hard Rock.

Bellagio’s free attractions, which include fountains out front and the conservatory, should find their way onto most Las Vegas itineraries.

How To Check In & Out At The Venetian Las Vegas (explained)

A stroll through the intricately themed forum shop at Caesars Palace is a must, if only for the scenery and photos.

Cigar lovers will appreciate the fact that Caesars also offers 2 different cigar lounges. The first, Montecristo, is located outside the casino floor.

Resorts World is a short walk north and is the newest resort on the line. Inside, you’ll find a spacious casino floor, a speakeasy bar (shhh!), a cocktail lounge on the 66th floor, and plenty of dining options.

My favorite aspect of the resort is Famous Foods Street Eats, an eatery that serves a variety of high-quality food at grab & go prices (around $20 or less).

Speaking of food, my favorite tacos in Las Vegas can be found a short walk past Wynn and Encore at Tacos el Gordo.

The ordering system (more on that here ) is a little chaotic, but the tacos are cheap, authentic, and very tasty.

There is an absolute abundance of things to do at the Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas. Although it’s not listed as a place in itself, simply walking and exploring the theme park is one of the things I do most when I’m in town.

I’m a former software salesman turned Vegas enthusiast. While Spotted Table is my preferred abode, I take myself away from exploring new attractions, shows, restaurants and outdoor activities around Las Vegas with the intention of sharing my experience.

Ultimately, I just want to help people plan better trips and save a few dollars in the process. The Venetian is still one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas. While visitors are all about the glitziest or the biggest new hotel on the Strip, The Venice has retained the classic charm we love.

They have a lot of fun things to do, eat, and it’s the most beautiful casino hotel to photograph. Plus, parking is free.
