Sleepover Party Ideas For 10 Year Olds – My oldest daughter recently stayed overnight for her first birthday party. I know, sounds terrible, right? I can’t believe I’m actually on stage – oh! It seems like only yesterday that I was hard at work planning her first Butterfly Garden Birthday Party! I know many of you reading this are still sleep-deprived youngsters, and I have something that might interest you. How about planning an afternoon or morning sleepover birthday party? Read my tips and tricks for a successful “sleepover”.

I designed these invitations that can be used for naps and naps! I loved how the sleep masks I used on the invitation looked like the sleep masks the girls received as party favors!

I rented these beautiful tents and all the decorations from WonderTent Parties. They were wonderful. They came and set up tents, decorated with fairy lights and added pillows! Then the next day they came to unload everything! It was a very easy process and I can’t recommend them enough. The best part is that they also offer sleeping tents that little kids can use during the day!

Birthday Ideas For 10 Year Old Girls

The girls loved the party schedule I put together for the event and everyone followed it exactly to make sure we stayed on schedule. I made a large one and framed it as shown below, and printed out smaller ones and gave them to each of the girls to keep in the tent.

I was thrilled with how the fondant cake topper Les Pop Sweets made for me turned out. I sent Liz a photo of what the tents would look like for a night party and she totally loves it! I could die from eating this popcorn, enough to eat it.

Along with the sleep masks, the girls also received individual bags with matching pajamas. I used my new Cricut Maker for the first time to cut the girls names in glitter vinyl. I was so excited at how easy the process was and I can’t wait to personalize more! I grabbed the bags from the dollar bins at Target.

One of the keys to success with sleepovers or sleep deprivation is lots of activity. We played game after game, tinkered and sat down to watch a movie! One of the funnest games we played was sleepover bingo. We used Hershey kisses as our bingo markers and the girls had a blast! Bingo is a great game for young children because they have to recognize the pictures – no reading required!

Wake up and sing! After a wonderful sleep in the cozy tents, the girls enjoyed a homemade breakfast. In the morning our moon and stars turned into cloudy napkins and sun plates.

If you’re not going to spend the night and sleep in instead, why not plan it in the morning and have pancakes at the pajama-themed restaurant bar? Kids will go crazy over it and they’ll love wearing pajamas to a party!

Another great party! I love all your ideas Emily! I was wondering if you had pictures of the cake table to share and if the party printables were available in your Etsy shop.

Hello! Yes, I plan on listing all of my printables, including games, bingos, etc., in my etsy shop this summer! Then I’ll share more photos of the cake table too! Emily. Do you remember your first nap as a child? It might involve a pile of sleeping bags strewn across the living room floor or several children crammed into twin beds. Or maybe you don’t remember it. Brooke Cornelius aims to change that with her company, Southern Sleepovers, which creates overnight experiences kids won’t forget.

Sleepover Party Activities: Awesome Ideas To Spoil Your Kids!

It all started in the fall of 2017 when Cornelius, a soon-to-be mother of two and full-time registered nurse in Chattanooga, Tennessee, began looking for a creative outlet. “I’ve always loved planning and decorating events and wanting to make something,” she says

. She had a lightbulb moment when she saw a photo of a small tent online. “I thought it was really cool to offer them for a sleepover,” she recalls.

Her husband, Robbie, started building six miniature tents and they started hosting small parties for the kids in their neighborhood. Word spread quickly: Cornelius went from one party in December 2017 to 16 parties in December 2018. “Photos and seeing it in person [helped] make it really work,” she says. “When you set them up and the parents and kids come in, a lot of people have never seen anything like this, so [they’re] excited.”

The process of booking a Southern overnight stay is simple: Cornelius takes care of basically every detail, making the process seamless and stress-free. Anyone looking to host a party fills out a form on the website that asks questions like their preferred date, number of guests and whether they have a theme in mind (unicorns and mermaids are popular lately, Cornelius says). If the date is available, she and her husband set up a delivery time that brings everything they need to host the party, including custom-made tents, 5-foot mattresses (perfect for kids) and an array of lights and decorations. They return the next morning to take everything back.

“It’s funny to me to see adults, moms and dads, just light up,” Cornelius says. “They act like children when they see it.”

An average weekend now includes two or three parties in Chattanooga, but Cornelius has expanded his business to include northern Alabama, opening a Nashville outpost this month as well. They now have about 30 tents in their own home – “We finished our basement to store all the stuff!” Cornelius says.

The Christmas season is a special time to book. Cornelius offers special themed tents in the living rooms for children on Christmas Eve, and many families in the area have made it a tradition over the past few years. Running a business and making the holidays special for your family during this time can seem stressful, but for Cornelius, it’s worth it. “It’s really cool to know that I’m creating something unique and fun that they’ll always remember,” she says.
