Another player from the circle is selected as “It”. He will be the leader of the group from their seats in the circle. He will choose actions like clapping, snapping, shoulder tapping, etc. for other players to follow. Guardian number two stays close to the circle to find out who “It” is, then, when the first action begins, he brings the detective and guardian #2 back. 1 in the circle. Guard 2 whispers the identity of “It” in Guard 1’s ear, then both guards join the circle and start doing actions with the group.

The detective’s goal is to guess who it is. For It, the goal is to switch movement when the Detective isn’t looking. The goal of all other players is to follow the leader (It) without revealing his identity.
