Renewable energy has received tremendous attention in the past few decades. This is partly due to the depletion of fossil fuels and the high demand for energy due to the increasing world population. This paper seeks to provide an overview of what researchers are doing in the field of geographic information systems (GIS) to analyze renewable energy sources for a sustainable future. Many studies on renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy, wind energy, hydroelectric energy, biomass and solar energy are discussed in this book. The focus of this review paper is on exploring how remote sensing and GIS-based techniques are useful in finding the best locations for renewable energy sources. This book includes many case studies from different countries around the world using these technologies to monitor renewable energy resource sites. It is important to note that although each of the visual and GIS methods used in the study of renewable energy can be marketed as the most effective among others, in practice , combining different methods is more effective. Work. Throughout the paper, current and future perspectives and possible solutions are suggested for many issues related to visualization and GIS applications for renewable energy. The authors believe that the conclusions and recommendations from the studies and literature reviewed in this study will be useful to renewable energy scientists and policy makers.

Coal Electricity is generated from non-renewable energy sources that rely on fossil fuels such as gas and wood; Transportation It is used in heating houses and other industrial facilities. However, non-renewable energy sources [1, 2, 3] are decreasing due to increased energy consumption due to growth. Growing acceptance and scientific belief in the threat of climate change in the global community has led to a shift away from fossil fuels and renewable energy in recent years. Therefore, there will always be a need for energy, so it is important to find a source of energy. share of renewable energy in urban areas is electricity, There has been a significant increase in heating systems and transportation. This paper focuses on the types of sources of renewable energy. Geothermal wind, Hydropower and solar power (Figure 1).

Geothermal energy is seen as a viable option for the environment. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a special report on new energy sources, climate change will not have a negative impact on the reliability of geothermal energy, but the widespread use of geothermal energy plays a major role . Reduction of atmospheric emissions [6]. Additionally, modern water management systems make these geothermal systems sustainable by harnessing heat from the earth. Geothermal energy is physically generated from the heat generated by the decay of radioactive isotopes that are common on Earth. It is estimated that the internal combustion will produce a thermal energy of 1.3 × 10 at a depth of 10 km.

Renewable Resource: Definition, Considerations, And Types

Oil barrel [7]. Assuming that the world’s total energy consumption is about 100 million barrels of oil per day, geothermal energy can supply energy needs for six million years [8]. Geothermal sources can be divided into three types: hydrothermal or convective systems, conductive systems, and deep water. A hydrothermal (convective) system can be a water vapor or flood [9]. Popular top attractions include hot springs; Includes fumaroles and chemically altered rocks. Sometimes it’s not obvious. At the same time, the active system has hot rocks and magmatic sources, while the deep water has mobile water and transient circulation more than 3 km deep, but there is no local magmatic heat source. . Electric power can be generated from steam or by using secondary hydrocarbons to drive turbines designed to produce electrons. Geothermal energy is currently about 0.4% of global energy production, with a growth rate of 5%. In contrast, solar energy currently accounts for less than 0.2% of global energy, but growth is expected to be around 25-30%. Currently, the total installed capacity for geothermal resources worldwide is 10,898 MW, and the estimated electricity generation is 67,246 GWh [6].

Wind power Alternative to fossil fuels are rich, It is a renewable and clean resource. Wind power converts wind energy into electrical energy. Small offshore wind turbines provide electricity to remote areas. According to statistics, wind energy is one of the fastest growing energy sources in the world. Since 2000-2006, wind energy infrastructure has quadrupled, with China, the United States and many new projects in Denmark [11, 12]. The efficiency of the wind power project depends very much on the location of the project. Proper assessment before investment helps predict the outcome and reduces uncertainty [13]. The main factors of success of wind energy projects are wind density; the surface means the sea; Topography communications through road networks; Proximity to the power grid; and distances between conserved sites [14]. Depending on the location, wind farms are divided into two types. on the coast and the sea[15]. Onshore wind farms are often referred to as onshore farms. Surface imagery and surface roughness are discussed for offshore wind turbine operations. Proximity to media and road networks is also considered. Satellite imagery is often analyzed to determine potential locations and altitudes for offshore wind turbines. Satellite imagery provides guidance for further decision-making for aerial farming.

Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) with satellite imagery; SONIC Detection and Ranging (SODAR) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) are commonly used in wind farms. The use of optical sensors helps to optimize the installation process of Mast-based sensors [17]. Sea turbines A wind turbine in the sea is called a wind turbine. An onshore wind farm needs infrastructure to mature before investment can be made in the farm. Inland climates depend on the strength of the ocean’s winds; It can be used in three ways: air and satellite. Ground-based systems are effective when large wind turbines are to be installed, and meteorological masts cannot be used to conduct research from helicopters. [19] Usually 100 to 200 meters above ground level.

Perennial biomass crops and fast-growing non-food crops can provide sustainable bioenergy production [20]. Biomass refers to organic matter from living things or plants. It is one of the main sources of energy used in developed and underdeveloped countries. Biomass is the most advanced renewable energy source at 35%.
