Using custom wooden CD boxes from your local craft store and a variety of natural materials, including wood, logs and pine cones, you can make your baby hotel a welcoming space. And can care for beneficial insects to live, reproduce, gather and hibernate. . .
1. Paint the inside and outside of the CD case with sealing acrylic paint, also known as exterior acrylic paint.

2. Cut the wooden posts to fit inside the CD case. We cut our wooden posts to 4 inches long, leaving the bark intact.
3. Next, drill holes in your wooden posts with a cordless drill. A solitary leafcutter bee has a hole 1/4 inch wide and 3 inches deep.
5. Fill in the gaps around your post with wood, pine needles, leaves, moss, and bunches of onions. Secure your bundle of sticks with a rubber band so they don’t fall out of the CD case.
Place the completed insect house near the garden in a warm, sunny spot and enjoy watching the insects come home.
