Grand Wailea Maui is one of the most luxurious Hilton resorts in Hawaii, especially for its beachfront location and gorgeous pools (there are nine of them). Honeymooners flock to this resort, but it is also a great family destination. The hotel offers several on-site activities, such as a program where first-time divers (age 12+) can receive free diving training. Kayak and paddle board rentals are also available, along with a monthly schedule with activities like luaus, yoga classes, Hawaiian games, and hula lessons. (Note that although Grand Wailea is popular with families due to its extensive kids and teens club, it is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.)

Grand Wailea Maui costs 95,000 Hilton Points per night for a standard room, although it is difficult to come by. This is why you want to plan your trip in advance and make sure you are flexible with the dates. However, if you can find a standard room available, they take advantage of a free weekend night certificate. You can get this certification in two ways:

If Hawaii is on your radar, take a full island hopping tour with Hilton Hotels. Other family-friendly hotels include Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort (60,000 points / night) and Hilton Waikoloa Village (65,000 points / night).

Arizona is filled with resorts that range from adult-only spas to family-oriented properties with large pools and lazy rivers. The all-suite Hilton Phoenix Resort in Puncak is definitely family-friendly. This resort commands between 50,000 to 60,000 Hilton Points per night. Even their standard rooms are suites, allowing your family (up to five guests) to spread out without additional expense.

Hilton Phoenix at the Peak Resort features River Ranch, a four-acre water park with pools, waterslides and a lazy river. There are also tennis courts, basketball courts, and mini golf. (Note, during non-pandemic times, children ages 4-12 can participate in programs at Camp Coyote, which is currently closed.)

If the weather is good, your kids can play on the beach during the day and make monkeys in the fire pit in the evening. Biking, kayaking, fishing and birdwatching are also available. At 61,000 to 80,000 Hilton Honors points per night, this could be a great choice for New Englanders.

If Mickey and Minnie are in your family plans, the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is just a few miles from the Disney theme parks. Here you will get benefits, such as 30 minutes early at Disney World and free transportation to the park.

For non-park days, Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek has a lagoon-style pool, waterslide, and poolside activities. In non-pandemic times there is also a kids’ club at the Waldorf Astoria hotel next door (the kids’ club is currently closed due to pandemic restrictions).

Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek charges 60,000 Hilton Honors Points per night for standard night stays, however, often only premium rooms are available. There are other Hilton hotels in the area that may be less expensive; Check out the Hilton Disney Springs hotel if your points budget is tight.

The Florida Panhandle has beautiful beaches and is a popular family vacation spot. If you are looking for a full service hotel on the beach with many kids’ activities, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa has you covered at 64,000 to 80,000 points per night. Or, if you’re looking to splurge, you can redeem more points to stay in a suite that offers bunk beds – the perfect solution when traveling with kids.

Here, you will find indoor and outdoor pools, beach volleyball, cycling, tennis, golf, stand-up paddle boarding, and kayaking. And of course there is a beach.

Huntington Beach, also known as “Surf City,” is located 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles. At 9.5 miles from the beach is The Waterfront Beach Resort, which costs 80,000 points per night. Barbados is a great vacation for families. Although there are a limited number of chain resorts on the island of Java, there are actually two opportunities to use Hilton to point you. The first, Hilton Barbados Resort is located directly in Bridgetown. (Note: this is not the right location if you want to go off the beaten track).

With access to the white sand beach and swimming pool, the hotel provides snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and boogie boards. The Paradise Kids Club is open from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Children are divided into two age groups: Groovy Kids are children between the ages of 4 and 7 and Cool Kidz are children between the ages of 8 and 12. At the hotel, children under 5 eat for free and children between 5 and 12 receive all meals at half price.

This is by no means the most luxurious hotel in Barbados, but it is a great opportunity to use your points on an island where hotels can be quite expensive. Hilton Barbados Resort costs 59,000 to 70,000 points per night.

If you have a healthy balance point, Hilton recently acquired The Crane Resort as one of its vacation properties. (The Crane also has a kids’ club for ages 4-12 that is free.) Hilton Grand Vacations at The Crane start at 113,000 points per night where you can only book a superior room. Crane is definitely a better property if you have luxury options.
